Ex-Minnesota Viking Darrion Scott was charged with assaulting his 2-year-old son by holding a plastic bag over the child's head, according to a police report.

The mother of the child also reported other injuries that she noticed her son coming home with each time he spent time with his father, Darion Scott. Scott just recently got involved in the childs life.

The Star Tribune reported that the mother told police she had evidence of previous injuries while the boy was in Scott's care, and a doctor who examined the boy said there is a reasonable degree of medical certainty that marks on the child's arm and ear were intentionally inflicted and were consistent with either burning or being struck.

It's absolutely horrible the things that some kids have to go through because there's no screening parents have to go through before having kids.
